Some points to remember when building a Barrel Roll:
- Remember that you want the train to spin in a straight line, not the track. You want the track to be like a very stretched out corkscrew.
- Make sure that you don't make it too tight, which will make it loose speed.
Step 1
First you neeed to make the base.
Make sure that the connectors are facing the correct way.
Notice how the entrance and exit of the barrel roll are offset.
Step 2
Next you will build the supports for the entry and exit to the element.
Step 3
Now, to finish the supports, you will place a support for the upside-down section.
The k'nex on the very top is to keep the crossbrace from moving too much.
Step 4
This is what it will look like after connecting the track.
Notice how the barrel roll is more of a very stretched out corkscrew than a simple twisting track.
